'Tis the season for creating Nengajo, or Japanese New Year's cards! All
of Mr. Blackwelder's classes are creating their own nengajo surrounding
this year's theme, Year of the Horse or uma-doshi. The best cards
throughout the Japanese program will be selected in the three categories of
artistic, humorous, and original, and will be sent on the the National Nengajo
Contest. Two years ago, a Scripps student won! Best of luck to the Japanese
students and Happy New Year's to all!
