Dr. Jacobson's Spanish 1-2 students are reading folktales from South America in
preparation for identifying character traits as well as comparing and
contrasting themes such as loyalty and persistence. Through comprehension
activities, students are also preparing to build vocabulary and concepts that
will facilitate an analysis of the relevancy of messages presented in the
folktales. Spanish grammar lessons included direct object pronouns,
stem-changing verbs and an introduction to forms of the past tense.
