Professor Frost Shares with ASL Classes

Adam Frost, a Deaf professor from UCSD and Mesa, visited Mrs. Redelings' ASL classes on Tuesday. Adam discussed his experience growing up culturally Deaf (community with specific shared experiences, at the heart of which is signed language), his education, and life experience. Students put their language skills to authentic use as they interacted with Adam. For many students, this was the first time they had encountered a person who was culturally Deaf. They found Adam happy, friendly, and very patient.
