Dr. Jacobson's Spanish 5-6 and 7-8 students are currently working on analyzing text through critical thinking activities. Students, parents and teachers can access an overview of the principles of higher cognitive analysis as well as examples of text analysis questions and responses through models available on Dr. Jacobson's SRHS web page. Dr. Jacobson attended a World Language Workshop presented by College Board
on May 18, 2013. She reports that the invaluable benefits of the course
included in depth pedagogical principles, online resources and instructional
strategies designed to enhance and assess students' interpretive, presentational
and interactive language skills through reading, writing, listening and speaking
proficiencies.
