Argentina, a new cultural focus for Spanish 3-4

Mr. Stanko's Spanish 3-4 classes will learn a little bit about the cultural focus of the new unit for semester 2: Argentina. Students will also create a mini cultural project to share with the class.

Spanish 1 students read and analyze culture

Dr. Jacobson's Spanish 1 classes read about Spanish speakers from diverse countries and analyzed cultural traditions and values. Students' presentations during final exams demonstrated comprehension and critical analysis of text.

World Languages preparing for final exams!

World Languages students and their teachers are busily preparing for final exams this coming week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Be sure that your son/daughter gets a good night's sleep and eats well!  The pressure and stress will be over soon!

French students prepare 3-course meal for family

Madame Leidhoff's French 3-4 students are cooking a three-course French meal for their families as a cultural project. Students learned about the changes in food sources when the French emigrated to Quebec. Some students are preparing Canadian and North African dishes.

"To be" or not "to be"? STOP the ELF!

Profe BaƱuelos's Spanish 1-2 students created creative anti-elf artwork of "STOP the ELF." "STOP the ELF" is an acronym for them to differentiate the two different ways to say and use "to be" in Spanish: #1 Ser  #2 Estar.

French 1-2 presents Little Red Riding Hood to Pre-school!

Madame Leidhoff's French 1-2 (in full costume) presented Little Red Riding Hood to pre-schoolers in the library.  What fun!  As soon as pictures are ready, they'll be posted.
